Final Journey is a 2D adventure game, made for the Brackeys Game Jam #2.

You follow an unnamed hero, in a story that has happened a long time ago. He is given a difficult task and in order to complete it, he has to fight a dangerous foe. Or at least that's what he thought. How far will he go to fulfill a wish of a princess that he so desperately fell in love with? Will he gain unspeakable glory and wealth for finishing his dangerous task?

Note: This game doesn't save progress between game sessions and should be finished in one sitting. Also when you die you might need to press the load checkpoint button twice. And I also suggest you take a look at help in the main menu. If the movement doesn't feel smooth and you're playing in the browser, try downloading the game.

I feel like some people might not take the time to finish the game(because it's much harder than i anticipated), so i decided to post the story here.

Special thanks to:

  • Frogerius - for helping with the level design and dialogues
  • Yardar - for helping with the sound effects

I know you want to describes the theme about the love between and player and princess, but the dialogue is too long. Because your dialogue words type one by one to enter, I guess some players would try to always press space. I recommendation that you can use some images or cut some words.

Graphics style is pixel style. That's my faviorates. Also Great Help Menu. Confortable layout and the storytelling as well. SFX also very suitable for your game. High rates to this part.

In terms of player animations, I am pretty like this sword trail game. 2D game you made very great from my perspective. Also you have much potential in making one RPG game. Keep going~

Thanks, i'm glad to hear you like the game. For the next game jam, i'll know to keep the introductions shorter, as there are many games and people just can't spend too much time on one game.  Thanks for the encouraging words, and i'll check your game soon.

You are welcome~
